Road Knights History

RedChopperThe Road Knights Motorcycle Club was started on September 1st, 1997 by founding member Jim Herb (also known as "Bones"). The name for the club was taken from the Road Knights Car Club that was originally founded by Lester Herb, Jim's father in May of 1954. The Motorcycle Club started with only thirteen original members and has evolved to a current membership of over forty in only four short years.

RedChopperMeetings were being held in a garage or in the back of a restaurant until 1999. At that time founder Jim Herb was renting a 3/4 acre lot that he owned When his tenant decided to move, a party was planned for the club. At the party it was suggested that the Motorcycle Club should purchase Jim's lot and make it the official clubhouse for the "Road Knights Motorcycle Club of Pennsylvania". Since then the club has acquired several acres which are used for the larger events and camping for members.

RedChopperFriday and Saturday evenings, the clubhouse is a "hot spot" for members and their guests where everyone can enjoy a safe and friendly night of music, socializing, billiards, darts, cards, video machines, and a big screen TV.

RedChopperMany functions are planned for the summer months and most of the activities are held outside at the club. Poker Runs, Charity Events, and the annual giveaway of a "Harley Davidson" motorcycle are several of the many events held every summer. Be sure to go to our EVENTS Page to see all that is planned for this year.
